      WRITING          
      Clear writing is one of my key skills, whether it's a procedure, website copy, or brochure content. My ability to clearly transfer information will ensure that the reader (aka " the audience" or "the recipient") receives your intended message.

        EDITING          
        I can provide lower level editing such as: simple formatting; proofreading at the word level; and checking for grammar, punctuation, and usage at the sentence level. I can also provide higher level editing such as: improving writing style for consistency; evaluating content to ensure that information follows a logical order and supports the purpose of the document; and developing new content. My ability to copymark print or online documents (in Microsoft Word 2003 Pro or Adobe Acrobat 7) should suit any work environment.

        DOCUMENT DESIGN          
        My knowledge of design principles gives me an in-depth understanding of how to unify and organize information, reduce clutter, add visual interest, and give the reader a clear picture about the heirarchy and importance of the information being presented. My knowledge of page layout software (Adobe InDesign CS2, QuarkXPress 6.5, and Adobe Framemaker 7.0) allows me to incorporate text and graphics into page layout design.

        RESEARCH          
        My training and experience in engineering has enhanced my problem-solving abilities. A key component of problem-solving is research—seeking and compiling information from several sources to ensure a well-rounded solution. Whether I conduct research in the course of a project or whether you simply need help with gathering information, you can be sure that my meticulous attention to detail will yield thorough and relevant results.

        GRAPHICS          
        My training and experience in graphic communication gives me the ability to design appropriate visuals and my knowledge of image (Adobe Photoshop CS2), illustration (Adobe Illustrator CS2), and page layout software (Adobe InDesign CS2, QuarkXPress 6.5, and Adobe Framemaker 7.0) allows me to implement them.
